July Worship - Letter 6-2-20
Greetings and blessings to you as we all prepare for the sunshine (and rain) this Fourth of July weekend.
I wanted to update you on our worship offerings through the month of July. As I mentioned in a video message earlier this week, Fr. Geoffrey Butcher has had a hip replacement procedure. After talking with him several times, I am please to share that he will be returning to “active supply duty” this weekend. Thus, instead of Morning Prayer, we will celebrate Holy Eucharist. Furthermore, Fr. Butcher will be away Sunday, June 12, and we will have Morning Prayer at that time.

I also mentioned in my earlier message that I would be paying close attention to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Mississippi. As you know, Angel’s Attic has decided to close its doors once again until these numbers go down for the sake of their more vulnerable customers. As of now, there is no need to close the doors of the church, as long as we maintain our current safety protocols — which everyone is doing really well! If this changes and a suspension of public worship goes into effect, our online platforms are stronger than ever and are ready to (broad)cast a wider net.
Online worship has moved to YouTube, but will simultaneously link to the Redeemer’s Facebook, Twitter, and website. The website now has a worship calendar, with links to past and future videos and bulletins. Likewise, at the bottom the website, you will find a “prayer request” form that comes directly to me.

7/8/20 - Wednesday, Communion from the Reserve Sacrament - Feast of Priscilla and Aquila. 9:30am
7/12/20 - Sunday, Morning Prayer II -Proper 10A. 9:30am, 11:00am
7/15/20 - Wednesday, Morning Prayer II - Wednesday of Proper 10 9:30am
7/19/20 - Sunday, Holy Eucharist II - Proper 11A. 9:30am, 11:00am
7/22/20 - Wednesday, Communion from the Reserve Sacrament , Feast of St. Mary Magdalene. 9:30am
7/26/20 - Sunday, Holy Eucharist II -Proper 12A. 9:30am, 11:00am
7/29/20 - Wednesday, Communion from the Reserve Sacrament , Feast of Mary and Martha of Bethany. 9:30am
Compline will be online-only, each Monday and Thursday at 8:00pm.
